Hello,

My account was recently banned for an unacceptable name.

It is a 3 day ban and the character was already deleted before the ban but the unacceptable name is my current account name which I set it as a day before the ban.

I have to wait 30 days before I can change my account name and since the account name is the name I have banned and I will still need to wait 26 days after the ban has ended to change it I am wondering if I am going to get banned every time someone reports the name or if I will be able to change my account name before the 30 day period.

If anyone was in this position before that can provide useful insight it would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Apparently I was not clear enough initially. The ban is not what bother me it is the above question. The ban was well deserved and I have no problem serving it but that is beside the question.

An account name is the thing you make through tolkano for hero battles and what not.

You might be able to notify support and explain your situation, so any subsequent reports for an offensive name for your account name in the next 26 days could maybe be ignored. If anything, if you were to be banned again it wouldn't be very fair at all, so notifying support would give you something to refer to if you were to be banned again.

You should be able to change it. It wouldn't make sense if they didn't let you since I do believe that if you get banned for a inappropriate character name you get to change it after your ban.

I think if you really want to know the name, which is unimportant to this thread, you should try PM'ing him. No need to divulge what it is if he does not want to.

when your ban is up when u goto log onto that charcter it will tell u to make a new name for it

As I have already stated the character has been deleted before the ban even takes place. The name is my account name.

I am confused about the "account name" part of this problem. I didn't know that anyone saw your account name in-game. All that is normally visible is Character Name, Guild Tag & and displayed Title.

I *think* though I may be wrong, he means his Ziashen account name. Aparet from contacting support I'm not sure what you could do. You could always try Gaile or Regina and explaining the situation.

I do believe that it is his account name for HB tournaments. If he is registered to be in the mAT for HB then they would see his account name. I think that is what he is talking about.

Just checked Xunlai house for his name, thought I saw MMSDome on it the other day while doing my predictions but it's not there anymore, nor is the new name. Possibly removed from mAT for his ban? oO Or maybe I was just seeing things.

Dome is asking a very involved question. He's wondering about his account name, not character name. He's trying to contact support and is wondering if anyone has had a similar circumstance so that his question can be answered.

lol Wow now that is funny. I guess that is only because you see it for the mATs. Good to hear that you won't have any problems coming back. Though it is strange to think who reported you from what my brother told me about the situation.
